甬江科创区
甬江科创区是宁波举全市之力建设的重大战略板块和功能平台，是宁波人才集聚、创新驱动的重大引擎。
甬江科创区紧密围绕“立足宁波、服务区域、面向未来的世界一流科创策源中心”总体建设目标，着力打造成为动力澎湃的科创大平台，引力强劲的人才大磁场，活力迸发的变革大引擎和魅力无限的品质大花园。
甬江科创区位于宁波母亲河甬江两岸，总规划面积197平方公里，涉及江北、镇海、北仑、鄞州和高新区，构筑“一区四港”的空间布局。“四港”分别是原始创新和基础研究的“科学港”、数字创新和研发转化的“数创港”、国际交流和青年创新的“青创港”、总部服务和高端配套的“总部港”。
甬江科创区是宁波科创资源最密集、科创氛围最浓厚、科创生态最优良的区域，以全市2%的土地面积集聚了全市51%的省部级以上创新平台、6所高等院校、85%的顶尖人才和41%的领军人才。
甬江科创区积极培育壮大新兴产业，布局建设未来产业，完善现代化产业体系，加快培育新质生产力，重点推进新材料、工业互联网、智能制造3大优势基础产业，谋划布局海洋经济、空天经济和生命健康3大未来发展产业，构筑“3+3主导产业体系”。
Yong River Sci-Tech Innovation Zone
The Yong River Sci-Tech Innovation Zone stands as a pivotal strategic initiative in Ningbo, crafted to be the city's powerhouse of talent attraction and innovation.
The Zone is strategically designed to be a world-class nexus for cutting-edge research and innovation, solidly rooted in Ningbo but with ambitions that span globally. It aims to be a magnet for world-class talent and a catalyst for substantial transformation, all while maintaining an ecological balance to offer an attractive, verdant living and working environment.
Located along the banks of Ningbo's Yong River, the Zone spans a total planned area of 197 square kilometers, encompassing Jiangbei, Zhenhai, Beilun, Yinzhou, and the Ningbo High-tech Zone. It adopts a "One District, Four Hubs" spatial layout. The "Four Hubs" are specialized for distinct functions: the Science Zone focuses on basic research and innovation; the Digital Economy Innovation Zone targets digital innovation and the transformation of research into practical applications; the Youth Creativity Zone fosters international exchange and youth-driven innovation; while the Headquarters Zone supports corporate headquarters with high-end services.
The Zone boasts the densest concentration of research resources in Ningbo and the best ecosystem for innovation. Despite covering only 2% of the city’s land area, it hosts 51% of the city's provincial and ministerial-level innovation platforms, six universities, 85% of its top talent, and 41% of its leading experts.
The Yong River Sci-Tech Innovation Zone is actively engaged in the expansion of emerging industries, the cultivation of future industries, and the enhancement of a modernized industrial system. It is focused on the acceleration of new productive force development, emphasizing three key foundational industries: new materials, industrial internet, and intelligent manufacturing. Furthermore, it is involved in the strategic planning for three industries of future growth: marine economy, aviation & space, and life and health sciences, thereby constructing a "3+3" framework of growth engines.
